  • Next month, Samsung will ship the 19-inch SyncMaster 930ND monitor, which relies on Teradici’s chip. Business customers can plug an Ethernet cable into the monitor and turn it into a full-fledged computer by connecting back to their data centers.

    This is the Linux version of Outlook. Another one-stop shop, only this time it’s all about the PIM. E-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, advanced searching, desktop integration, shared vCards, junk filters, encryption, LDAP support, iCal support, and much more. And if your company uses an Exchange server, you’re in luck because the Evolution Connector will be able to keep you connected. Evolution tends to be the default e-mail client for the GNOME desktop, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Evolution on KDE (or any other window manager.)

  • PHPDL is a Php script that lists all the files in a directory (except itself of course). What sets PHPDL apart is that everything the script needs is in one file, including the file-type icons it uses.

  • jira4r is a Ruby client library useful for controlling Atlassian's JIRA issue tracking system. It is currently in uses as part of the Xircles product that manages the Codehaus and other open source development sites. While not under heavy development, it is in heavy use in production systems.
